Running in my 1st 15K Race (September 2010)

My father first introduced me to running when I was 13-years-old.  At first it was difficult, but I stuck with and over time worked my way up to running 2 Miles every week day with my dad.

Than, eventually I was hooked and fell in love with running!

HOWEVER, through my highschool years my running days started to dwindle and eventually they stopped all together.  =(

I would venture back to running, via the treadmill, several times in my early 20’s with the hopes of dropping a few pounds but it never lasted long.  Until I started My “Weight Loss” Journey!

I would like to point out that Running was a KEY part of my 100+ pound weight loss!!!

And, I know without it I would NOT be where I am today as not only did it help me lose weight it helped me maintain my weight as well!

Now I know not everyone is into running, but I am sure there is something out there cardio wise that you may like!

You just have to find what works for you,  start doing it on a regular basis and always keep that heart rate bumping!

I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration I think you are. I am finally getting back to running in the past 6 months after having two children in 18 months. Reading your blog inspired me to set and train for a goal I have wanted to reach for a long time-running a half marathon, which I am signed up to do in Atlanta on Thanksgiving Day, 2009. I also have learned a lot about healthy eating and balance from you blog–I work as a full time veterinarian and have a husband and two children to care for. Thank you for sharing you journey and good luck with your running endeavors!

Started training for my first marathon last year. Actually a year ago. What motivation I had with running. I really learned to love it. I really hope to continue this year. Running consistently seems to be hardest for me especially when the winter hits. I also have had some injuries and have one currently. I hope to start running again in the next few weeks.

Oh, I think I will be running for the rest of my life at this point. In the past I used it to lose weight and now I continue to do that but it means SO MUCH MORE to me now……it is my stress reliever, my personal time, my mediation, etc. I just do not feel right if I am not running. Hope you are back up and Marathon training soon, I will be there next year. =)

This might be too personal…but what sports bra do you use? I’ve yet to find one that is REALLY fantastic! I have a larger chest and need a lot of support.
